What Dark Elf Army?

After many attempts over the past couple weeks, Eden was finally able to reach the end of the current dark elf caverns. It's really to bad more people can't get down here because it is a really fun place to hunt and it just looks damn cool! This is us at the final gate...



Down on the bottom right you can see the "Head of Guards" npc that just stands there. I had read on another blog that you can end him so we decided we better end him too..lol. It took awhile but he finally went down.



This hunt lasted around two hours I think, maybe a little more. We never lost a single person the whole time which also makes this hunt more successful. Although we weren't able to land a Meteor or Decay book, we did grab one of these...



There were some other minor drops as well like zels and dais but nothing worth taking a screenshot of. The drops aren't the greatest down there but you feel a real sense of accomplishment when you make it this far. I just have to say that this is what Lineage is all about. Teamwork got us to the finish..and i have never been more proud to be a part of Eden!

I swear I'm trying!!

I've been hunting alot but no tremendous drops or boss fights to speak of recently. Found the dopple boss again but still haven't been able to land anything other than wiz pots and rez scrolls from it.



Have also spent alot of time on FI leveling with Brownknight and Clink. Again...no drops. : (

Sad

A longtime pledge member and good friend has left Lineage for good. Although I'm not exactly positive, I think I first met Soviles close to two years ago. He had just started and was looking for a pledge so I invited him to Eden. To make a long story short today he had to leave the world of Lineage forever as real life was keeping him to busy to play. His wife some of you may also know...Alyssaelf, has also sadly decided to say goodbye as well. Although Alyssaelf never joined Eden, I would talk with her often in game.

I just wanted to say it was great knowing you and I wish you luck in whatever you do from this point on!

On a side note, before he left I asked him if he had any secrets in Lineage. (like any secret characters or big items he never showed anyone) The answer was pretty amusing...



Although the spellings a bit off...I'm pretty sure I know what you mean.
LOL! I never exptected something like that to come from you. Funny stuff man.

As for me, sorry for not posting yesterday but honestly there wasn't much to post about. I was on quite bit but didn't find a single boss and just spent most of my time leveling. Until tomorrow....

Boss Drops? Not quite....

Only had time for two real hunts today. One for Zenith and one for Seer. Didn't find either of them but ended up getting drops anyway...

Congrats Clink!

Clink is a real life friend of mine that I got hooked on this game about a year and a half ago. It was a long road...but worth it I would say. Clink reached 49 awhile ago but took a break to level a character on LOA before returning to finish the job. He began leveling just after the Halloween event and hit 50 early evening on Feb 20th. Not quite four months of total leveling time...pretty good for an elf!

Spent most of today leveling in TOI. I have been having trouble focusing on leveling after hitting 54 but I think i got back into the groove today. Found a boss and got a nice present too!





Tomorrow night i should be able to post about Eden's newest Bapho! (Assuming of course they don't mess it up by dying...lol)

New House!

Eden Pledge has been growing like a weed lately and due to this we decided it was time to re-invest in a house. We had one in Aden awhile back but let it go when our numbers dwindled. Our NEW house is located in Giran right next to the west pot shop. The location in my opinion is awesome and we actually bid on this smaller house instead of one twice the size just for the proximity to a shop.



We have since removed the trees. Made it just a bit too crowded in there. Oh, and on another note...we made BurnBurn mad by outbidding him on this house so now he gonna attack us. Meh...whatever. -.-

Finally some action...

Gathered a group together today for a 2nd floor dark elf cave hunt. Actually got to see a few areas of the cave I had never bothered to look at before. Pretty cool stuff.



Aside from the interesting terrain, we also got to leave with a few goodies!





While not the absolute best drops from the dark elf caves...it's still nice to come out of there with something more than a round shield. The robe really isn't all that bad either...especially if your leveling a mage and you haven't reached 45 yet.

Afterwards Brownknight and myself ran up to 10th and once again ran into ZQ right next to the steps. Man i love it when that happens. (not just ZQ, any toi boss)



And what blog would be complete without random "cool blog" quotes from players in game. So heres the first two blog compliments i have recieved...although Im not sure if one of them is a compliment. O.O

Question for you all...

Is my blog fun to read or does it need improvement? I'm still planing on adding a few links but otherwise I'll just continue to post in the manner i have been. Is this good...bad....ugly? Just curious. I just started this blog and I want to keep it going down the right track.

On to other things...

I played my mage mostly again today. Just taking a short break from knight before i work on 55. I actually recommend to anyone trying to gain high level to take a break and mess around with another character sometime. It's a nice way to break up the level grind.

Sorry no pictures again today. There just isnt as many screenshot opportunities when your killing golems on di, or playing the role of a heal mage. I promise lots more boss shots are in the future for this blog.

Just messed around on my mage today helping some pledgemates level. Nothing to exciting. Hopefully more interesting posts tomorrow. : )

Demon, Ant Queen...full day

So as my last post stated, i found Ice Queen this morning. Over the course of the day i also found Ant Queen and Demon. Not to mention some drakes and several caspa groups. So what was the best drop from any of them?

Your looking at it...



But I'm not a complainer. Ive had good luck and Ive had bad luck. Today was a bad luck day. Also sold my +6 homr I made the other day and bought 50 zels. Ended up with another +6 homr. LOL.

Ice Queen

After logging on this morning I started doing my normal round of boss checks and ran into the Ice Queen. There were about 7 people online in my pledge but only ZSoulstealer wasn't in "shop" mode so we grabbed our gear and headed down. This particular Queen died extremely fast so it must have been a pretty weak one.



Oh well, at least it wasn't a blinding pot...the mother of all insults.

Fun!

Fought our way down to the 3rd floor of the dark elf caves today. Was great fun although we ended up being over-run by a huge swarm of Elementalists just outside the city. I think we had a total of 14 people for this hunt...probably the biggest hunting party Ive ever been a part of in all my years playing Lineage. Heres a shot of us gearing up at the steps on 3rd floor.



Also checked ZQ once today and found her right by the stairs.



Considering I still have about 10 of these belts from the Halloween event, I wasn't very pleased with the drop. Oh well..Ive manged to get a tsu and charm from ZQ in the past so I can't complain to much.

Pocket Money...

So I was about to turn in for the evening when i felt like trying to blow something. I decided to buy 15 zels and 3 homr and see what i could make. I told myself if 2 of them went +5 I would stop and sell them as is. If only one went +5, I would toss another zel on it and go for something bigger. Well, only one of them went +5 so I bought another zel and........





So I spent about 450k making it..and should pull in a profit of close to 1.5mil.

I'll take it.

Death Knight

I was hunting in FV today when HugeGY globaled that DK was up. Normally I ignore bosses that are globaled because 60% of the time it is someone just messing around, and 30% of the time by the time someone globals it...it's probably just about ended. But today I took a chance and zipped over to Mainland caves as fast as i could.



It was a blessed two handed sword...so at least i got something other than a blinding pot this time. As far as I know, the only other drop was a plate mail. I offered the sword to HugeGY but he refused saying he wouldn't have been able to kill it alone anyway. Nice guy ^^!

After the dk ended I tried to be nice and global the drops since usually nobody will tell...and of course me being nice turned into a fiasco. After i globaled someone chimes in and says "DC you weren't even there". LMAO is all i gotta say about that.
Look at the picture above. How could anyone tell who was there at all? Some people need to relax a bit. I was just trying to be nice.

I might post again today if anything else exciting happens.

Not much time today

I didn't have much time to play on Friday but i know everyone always wants updates so I'll just post of of my all time favorite action shots.

Dejavu?

Apparently I have become quite keen at finding the Dopple Boss because every time I head out there I find it. Not that Im gonna get rich off it..but it's always fun to fight a boss...



Then a bit later...just like last night someone whispers me that Giant Boss is up. I think I got the only drop this time, but there were some summons on it too so can't be sure. Oh, and just in case you don't believe i leveled...check out the blue name on the Giant. It was gold in my last post...hehe



Dabbled around on test server a bit too. Wanted to check out the new animations and I gotta say the knights new swing is pretty cool. Knights actually swing over their head like before but now also from side to side occasionally.

This is my ghetto animation of the knights swing. The overhand is one-handed...or it was for the Dama i was holding. Does anyone know if that changes if your holding something like an axe?



It's hard to explore much on test if you don't have a character thats very high level there (which i don't) so all i could do was fiddle around with the animations. I'll check out the other new stuff when it comes to live server.

Gotta love it...

So there i am..once again in FV, leveling all evening eventually i hit 99.99%. I stop for a second to look at my stats so i can see what all i gain at level up when i notice a whisper from someone I dont know.

Them: "Big Boss Up"
Me: "??"
Them: "Outside ToI"
Me: "Ancient Giant?"
Them: "Boss outside ToI"
Me: "Ok...who is this btw?"
Them: "Nobody"

So..there I am at 99.99%..and someone I dont know tells me Giant Boss is up. What the heck do i do here? I decide to throw caution to the wind and go check it out. Grab some pots in town and head up there...



Met up with a group at the ToI door and took down the big guy. Only ended up dropping a nkat and 8k or something like that. I guess I dont understand why people dont want to tell me who they are. We are talking about me here...the most neutral DK ever to reside on Dep. LOL. Oh well, Im just glad people feel they can call me for stuff like this and know I wont ever rip them off on drops. (Thats a hint for all of you in case you didn't catch on) ; )

I had been hoping that the giant would level me, but it didnt so i went back to FV and finished up my level on a fire warrior.



Yup..just level 54. I had alot of setbacks on 53, some of which included the Halloween event (thanks to several vampires) and I also dabbled in Lineage II for about a month. Not to mention having ISP problems for a few weeks where all i could do was hunt di. Hopefully should blaze through 54 pretty quick and finally be able to label myself a Black Knight.

Rich Iffy.....Poor Dopple

Spent another evening in FV and ran into Iffy few times. Actually dropped pretty decent too. This was probably the best one. Yes it was a Bkat. : )



Usually between hunts ill jump around and check a couple bosses at random. Tonight I got lucky and found the Dopple Boss standing alone...however, the drop wasnt so lucky as you can see. Thanks to Brownknight for helping to keep a wave of regular dopples away so I could take down the boss in peace. Maybe we will get rich next time BK. ; )

Exp...Exp...Exp...

Spent most of my time today in FV trying to tack on a few more percents. Got a few drakes to but only good drops I got came from FV. All were "n". :(



I would also like to congratulate Brownknight of Eden for making it to 49! Way to go BK...keep'em coming!

Figured I would post a few screenshots from the past just for fun. The first one is from the Dragon event they had awhile back. My poor elf died 11 times that day. I didn't have the guts to bring DC. I think you can see why...





This one is from the "small animal" event. For those who weren't around then, the event was basically a dai/zel drop event from deers, foxes, and boars. This was a particulary rich fox...





And this shot was just weird. I had just teleported into Oren from hunting and this appears on the bottom of my screen. Apparently a monitor fell asleep on the keyboard...lol.





Im currently out of town this weekend so you will have to make due with old screenshots for now. I'll post more recent ones when I'm back on my own computer.

And Finally...

Ok, this is my last post regarding the state of Lineage and it's players. This post is regarding players who quit.

Some of the reasons people quit the game are listed below..

1. Real life stuff
2. Tired of game
3. Found new game
4. Don't like changes in game

Im sure theres more, but my point is..it doesn't matter what your reason is...they are all valid reasons to leave the game. So what's this post all about then? Well, it's about people who decide to quit and then make it their mission to make everyone else quit. For example..lets say an Elf named BobtheDestoyer has been playing for 2 years, and because of the natures blessing nerf, BobtheDestroyer decides to quit. Thats all fine and dandy because if BobtheDestoyer isn't going to have fun because of the nerf then it probably is a good decision to leave. If the game isn't fun anymore..then its time to go and BobtheDestoyer made a good decision.

HOWEVER, before Bob the destroyer goes he decides that because he is leaving, and because he no longer likes the game...nobody else should either. In fact, the game suddenly sucks so bad that everything even remotely related to the game is now stupid or dumb. Even though BobtheDestroyer had fun for 2 years playing Lineage, now that he isn't having fun, he assumes nobody else should be either. I HATE THIS!!!

To BobtheDestroyer I have just one thing to say. "Bite Me". I have played this game for almost 3 years. I've seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I will be the one to decide when it's time to go. You can rip apart my game all you want because it falls on deaf ears. I am fully aware of the games faults..but I keep playing anyway. If the day ever comes when I decide to leave..it will be quietly with a few goodbyes.

About all the complaining

Ok, this post is directed at nobody imparticular. This is just my feelings on the
currect state of Lineage in general.

Let me begin by saying I am not blind to whats going on. I realize boss drops suck, risk vs. reward is messed up, and sometimes there is disconnects and lag. I am not a fan of these things either. This being said however, I don't let the games short-comings detract from the play value. I will remain a loyal Lineage subscriber until the end of its run..whether thats tomorrow or ten years from now.

..about the complaining..

Complaining is everyones right, and I don't condemn anyone for doing so. You have the right to complain, and recently I don't blame anyone for doing so. WHAT I DONT LIKE HOWEVER, is the blanket statements people make about NC. The following statements really tick me off because they are just so freakin stupid!!!

#1. "NC wants this game to die"
#2. "I have lag, It's NC's fault"
#3. "Servers are down for maintenance again...stupid NC"

Omg..do people really think this? NC makes millions and millions worldwide from this game. Get a clue people...

This one is tougher. Sometimes lag IS because of NC's servers. However every single day i see people complaining about lag...and 99% of the time I don't have lag. The lineage servers don't pick and choose who they want to give lag to..and just because you have lag doesn't mean it's NC's fault. Most of us are traveling through thousands of miles of wires to reach these servers, and one problem ANYWHERE between you and the servers can cause dc's and lag. Keep this in mind the next time you "quit" because NC's servers suck.

LOL, i see people say this every time the servers go down for maintenance. What do you want them to do? Never fix or update the servers? If you think we have problems now...why dont you try playing with no maintenance? Gimmee a break!

I can't stand it anymore!!

Yup, I've finally made a blog. Why have i done this? I've done this because I'm tired of going to other peoples blogs and reading nothing but complaints. Don't get me wrong, Lineage has flaws...but that doesn't mean it's not a good game. I love this game and everything about it.

Let me start off by saying after my first few initial posts, this blog will contain very little over the top commentary. This is merely a chronicle of my days...and in many cases, nights in Lineage. Over the next few days I'll gradually catch you up to where i currently stand in game. (I'll try to include lots of screenshots to keep you interested..hehe)
